Step 1 - Register your domain

Step 2 - Decide how to use it

All domains registered come with the following free domain management features:

Email Forwarding - Configure up to 50 free individualized forwarding accounts including "Catch All" feature.

Web Site Pointing - Two options include URL Frame ( your domain name stays in the browser for added branding ) and URL Redirection.  Both options point your domain to any page or site on the Internet.

IP Address Pointing - Point your domain to a specific IP address and update or change at any time.

DNS Management - Update or change nameserver information through the domain control panel.  Use our nameservers and free features or easily change to use outside nameservers ( usually provided by a web hosting company).

Domain Transfers - Transfer domains and renew at wholesale prices.

Registrar Lock - This prevents an outside source from transferring your domain to another registrar in their account by falsifying documents and requests.

Multiple Year Registration - Choose from 1-10 years of domain registration with each year at the same low price.

Same low prices for the new

:: Famous Names Appraised:

Here are some famous domain names put through the appraiser. Hopefully this can serve as a guide as well as a topic for debate! The objective score will be listed first, followed by the subjective score and the reasoning behing it. Any subjective score can be debated, that is the nature of any appraisal. Hence this is why we suggest having a few friends do your domain names as well and find an average. People may judge the same domain name differently, especially people that don't own it!

www.Fruits.com

word score = 1
letters score = 2
spelling score = 1
hyphen score = 1
prefix score = 1
Extention score = 1
Generic score = 1 or 2
I'd say fully or Mostly generic. Fruits can apply to any part of the fruit industry as well as many other manufacturers who use or sell fruit products or byproducts. Food would be more generic and there is always www.fruit.com lurking which may be more natural, but fruits is highly generic(if the owner had both fruit.com and fruits.com a score of 1 would be cemented)

Market Score = 1, 2 or 3
I'd say this market is either Medium or Large sized. Naturally the food industry is larger than just the fruit industry so it cannot possibly get a score of 1. I'd say fruits is a large sized industry considering all the fruit stuff we eat.

Memorability score = 1 or 2
Fruits is either ingrained or catchy at least. I'd tend to say ingrained, but catchy people could sway me.

Frequency score = 1 or 2
I'd wager you hear fruits every day if not many times a day. Tough call here but let's say a 2 since we gave leeway before.

The first 6 objective scores are fixed, but the subjective ones often times fall between scores. 4 Scores; Generic, Market, frequency, and memorability are a little iffy, so let's try a few appraisals varying those variables.

Using Scores (Generic=1), (Market=2), (Freq=2), (Memor = 1)
Appraised value = $160,000

Using Scores (Gen=2), (Mar=2), (Fre=1), (Mem=1)
Appraised Value = $120,000

Using Scores (Gen=1), (Mar=3), (Fre=1), (Mem=1)
Appraised Value = $213, 333

Average Appraisal = [(160,000 + 120,000 + 213,333) / 3] = $164,444

www.Fruits.com sale actual sales price = $160,000 (www.greatdomains.com)

www.Phonecalls.com

word score = 2
letter score = 3
spelling score = 1
hyphen score = 1
prefix score = 1
extension score = 1
Generic score = 1
Market Score = 1

Frequency Score = 1 or 2
memorability score = 1 or 2
Great name but something is wrong with it. Phonecalls just doesn't seem natural and has many easy competitors(phonecall, callingplan, longdistance, phonebill, etc..). I think it needs to score a 2 in one of these two categories but I am not sure which one or how to fully justify it. Hence let's look at a sample of appraisals.

Using Score (fre=1), (mem=1)
Appraised value = $213,333

Using Score (fre=2), (mem=1)
Appraised value = $71,111

Using Score (fre=1), (mem=2)
Appraised value = $106,666

Average Appraisal = [(213,333) + (106,666) + (71,111) / 3] = #130,370

www.Phonecalls.com actual sales price = $120,000 (www.greatdomains.com)

Korea.com

The basis for a perfect score. Score of 1 in every catergory.

Appraised Value = $7,680,000

www.Korea.com actual sales price = $7,500,000

The Dreaded Generic 3 letter Domain Name

This was one of the toughest tasks in getting an accurate appraiser. The 3 letter Domain name is the Gold Standard of Domains. Any 3 letter domain has nice intrinsic value no matter how irrelevent it really is. The prices on these domains can vary significantly depending on who wants them and how many are available. In addition some of them stand for acronyms or valuable initials to individuals and companies so some may be "words" and/or highly memorable. Here is a standard way of appraising them though you will have to use your best judgement on the subjective portions and some of the objective portions since it is not a word or spelled correctly in definition.

Standard Generic 3-letter Domain Name(www.VJW.com for example)

word score = 3
1 word for each letter

letter score = 1
spelling score = 2
Not spelled correctly but a standard or well known abbreviation

extension score = 1
hyphen score = 1
prefix score = 1
Even if it starts with e or i!

Market Score = 3
Good for any business but not targeted to any in particular

generic score = 1
Frequency score = 2
We remeber 3 letter acronyms and initials all the time. Seems daily is fair.

Memorability Score = 3
Easy to remember but not ingrained or catchy. Its just 3 letters in a row. Short, sweet, but not the work of sheer brilliance.

Aprraised Value = $2633
These can actually be worth less or much more depending who wants it. Hopefully this does show that the program can distinguish the intrinsic values of a brief, generic domain name that means nothing but is easy to remember.

Let's look at some different appraisals

Using Score (Mar = 1) (Fre = 2) (Mem =1)
Appraised Value = $35,555

Using Score (Mar = 1) (Fre = 2) (Mem =2)
Appraised Value = $17,777

Appraised Value = $8,888

Using Score (Mar = 2) (Fre = 1) (Mem =2)
Appraised Value = $13,333

Average Appraised value = $102,219 / 5 = $20, 444

www.eSweepstakes.com actual sales value = $22,500
